Italian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. Urbani was president of the Italian Bishops Conference from 1966. He succeeded Angelo Cardinal Romcalli as patriarch of Venice when Roncalli became Pope John XXIII in 1958. In 1958 he was elevated to Cardinal.
