Loeta (Tipton) Williams, age 87, of Maryville went to be with her Savior on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the family home.
Since 1939, she has been a member of Piney Level Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and was active in Vacation Bible School as well as serving many other positions in the church. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Blount Chapter #133.
Preceded in death by husband, Frank Williams; parents, Sam and Mary Nancy (Sallie) Tipton; brothers, Henry, Wiley, Arlie, Clifford and Gerald Tipton; sisters, Neller Tipton, Nancy Wright, and Mildred Bardill.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and David Carpenter, Tonya and Jerry Bushnell; grandchildren, Nathan and wife Jamie Carpenter, Aaron Carpenter, Michael and wife Amy Bushnell, and Matt Bushnell; brother, Rev. Don Tipton; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. George Macht officiating. Family and friends will assemble at noon at Piney Level Baptist Church for the interment. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. prior to the service.
