EDGAR B. SHOEMAKER, son of L.H. and E.M. SHOEMAKER, was born in Davis City, Iowa, December 2, l896, and died July 3l, l902, at 3:30 o'clock p.m., being 5 years, 7 months and 29 days of age. The illness which has resulted in this instance of death manifested itself Wednesday, July 23, and in spite of medical attention, and the tender and affectionate ministrations of loved ones, the claims of death have been inexorable. This affliction is peculiarly severe owing to the fact this is the third time in six years that these parents have been thus bereaved.
Owing to the illness of the Pastor, Rev. Alfred Knoll, the funeral services were conducted in the Davis City M.E. Church, by Rev. I.N. Woodward, of Leon. Interment was in the local cemetery.
