Tuckerman-- Funeral services for Charley Clyde Barner, 76, of this community, who died Saturday at St. Vincent's Hospital, Little Rock, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Jackson's Newport Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Partain Wright of Judsonia. Burial was in Gracelawn Cemetery. Mr. Barner was born Oct. 15, 1894 at Huntsville, Ala. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include 5 sons, Joel Barner, East Lake, Ohio; Charles Barner, Jr., and Billy Barner both of Tuckerman; William Paul Barner, Dardanelle; and Jimmy Barner, Searcy; six daughters, Mrs. Hazel McLaughlin, Grubbs, Mrs. Mable Sullivan, Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Juanita Parker, Tuckerman, Mrs. Imogene Polston, Brigham City, Utah, Mrs. Oretta Kriner, Judsonia and Mrs. Carolyn Milligan, Judsonia; a brother Albert Vandiever, Champaign, IL; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Townsley, Portia, and Mrs. Pearl Smith, Detroit; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

While his obit listed his birth year as 1894, another article about his 50th wedding anniversary listed his birth year as 1892, and his stone reads 1893.
