"BREDWELL, YELVENTON - Clermont, O by Walter Musgrove, Bethel, O B 1758, Stafford Co., Va; d 1813, ae 55, bur private cem on own farm on Donald Rd. - Tate Twp., Clermont Co, O. Ref: Clermont Co. O, Cem record Vol 8, p 39. Wife, Catherine Collins (1775-1849) Children: Thomas m Mary Willis (bur in Tate Twp); John and Collins moved to Ill; Hawkins m. Sophia Merril and d. in Tate Twp; Sarah m Robert Van Osdol, son of Oakey Van Osdol, Revolutionary Soldr; Polly m Jacob Willis; Levina m. Brazier Higbee, Fanny m. Louis H. Everts, History of Clermont County, Ohio with Illustrations and Biographical Sketches of its Prominent Men and Pioneers (Philadelphia, 1880). The following is from the chapter on Tate Township at p. 315:

"Yelventon Bredwell, a native of Virginia, moved to Tate from Kentucky in 1806, settling on the old Augusta Road, more than a mile from Bethel, where he died in 1814 [sic 1813]. Of a large family, a son, John removed to Illinois; William, a shoemaker by trade, yet lives near Bethel, in his eighty-first year; Thomas, living on the homestead; Collins, removed to Illinois; and Hawkins died in the township. The daughters married, -- Elizabeth, Thomas Hunt; Sarah, Robert Vanosdol (yet living, eighty-eight years old); Polly, Jacob Willis; Levica, Brazier Higbee; and Fanny, John Bricker."
