MRS. PHOEBE TEEPLES CALDER AND BABE LAID TO REST

Garden City, Rich Co., Jan. 20.

- On Jan. 14, Mrs. Phoebe Henrietta Teeples Calder and her infant baby were called from this stage of existence. The deceased was born March 30, 1873, at Holden, Millard County, Utah. She is the daughter of William R. and Harriet B. Cook Teeples.

She was married May 21, 1890 to Edward Calder and was the mother of eight children, two having preceded her, her son LaVon but two weeks before and her infant babe a few hours previous, thus making the occasion doubly sad. She was a faithful Latter-Day Saint; was the president of the Primary association and held responsible positions in the various organizations.

Funeral services were held Jan. 17. The songs rendered by the choir was "Resting Now From Pain and Sorrow", "Sometime, Somewhere" and "O My Father". Bishop G. H. Robinson, Bishop Samuel Western, Elders Joseph Irwin and George E. Pope testified of the faithfulness and integrity of her works and extolled her as a devoted mother and true friend. A duet, 'There is Life Beyond the Shadow" was beautifully sung by Albert Weston and Heber Robinson.

Resolutions of sympathy and respect from the Bear Lake Stake board of the Primary Associations were read by Stake Aid Edith Cook. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. There was never a more impressive or largely attended funeral held here. The deepest sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved husband and relatives.
