Mrs. Martha E. Tharp Bruce, wife of William Lincoln Bruce, a retired executive of the Yonkers Electric Light & Power Company and the Westchester Lighting Company, died yesterday at her home in Bedford Center. 64 and a life long resident of Bedford, Mrs. Bruce was a member of the Republican Town Committee and had been Bedford captain in both major campaigns for women's suffrage. Besides her husband, she is survived by a brother G. Vernon Tharp of Bedford and a sister, Ada Adelaide Hickok of Flushing.
