Mrs. Tena May Bartholomew, 64, a native of West Alton, Mo., and a former resident of Bethalto, Illinois died Sunday at Keokuk, Iowa, where she had resided for a number of years. Her home was at 176 Boulevard Rd., Keokuk. Mrs. Bartholomew, the wife of Richard Bartholomew; had, been ill for two months. Her death occurred at 8:40 p.m., in Graham Hospital, Keokuk. The former Tena May Ruckman, was was born Sept. 12, 1897, at West Alton, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Eagleson. She had resided at Bethalto from 1934 until 1948. Mrs. Bartholomew was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Keokuk. Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons, George R., Everett, Wash., Harold L., Alton; Robert E., Bethalto, and Charles F. Meadowbrook; two. half-brothers, William Jones, Chicago and Charles Jones, El Paso, Tex., two sisters, Mrs. Otto Benson, Eldorado, and Mrs. Carrie Sellers, Alton; and 20 grandchildren. A son, Theodore, died March 28, 1960. Following services Tuesday at 12 p.m.,in Schmidt MemorialHome. Keokuk, the body will be brought to Alton to Staten Chapel for brief services at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Upper Alton Cemetery. The body will be al Staten Chapel from 10 a.m., Wednesday until time of the funeral.
