Arlene was born in Highlanding, Minn., Aug. 22, 1937, to Elner and Tillie Eliason. She grew up in Goodridge, Minn., where she met and later married Torval Dahle on Nov. 26, 1955.
They raised seven children, moved to Hibbing and eventually resided in Silica. Arlene worked at American Linen for many years. After retiring she took on a part-time job as cook at Bill-Mars Supper Club in Silica.
One of Arlene's greatest joys was spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed fishing, painting, gardening, woodcrafts, and sewing. She will be loved and missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Dahle; son-in-law Jaymie Ostrander; brothers Richard and Carrol; and her parents.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Torval; daughters Joanne (Randy) Meide, Fay Ostrander, and Dawn (Robert) Paget; sons Lynn (Lisa) Dahle, Darin (Cindy) Dahle, and Steve (Jessie) Dahle; sisters Shirley and Sharon; brother Harvey; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 9 until the 10 a.m. funeral service Friday, April 8, in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, (218) 262-2214.
Burial will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery.
