|Birth: ||Sep. 26, 1874|
Preston was the eldest living child of Lewis Pinkney Brooks and Mary Lucinda Moore. He married Ada Horton of Graham, Texas in 1897. The 1900 census shows Preston to be living in Graham, Texas with his wife, Ada, and baby daughter, Bertie. Occupation shown<>Deputy Sheriff.
In 1905 he moved his family to Sineola, Mexico to manage the hotel, saloon and grocery store of the El Tigre Mine owned by American Smelting of El Paso.
Ada and the children moved back to Graham, Texas in 1906 and eventually divorced Preston. He remained in Mexico and married a Mexican girl, Luisa Elisa Montiel. From that time on, knowledge of his activities were at best sketchy.
As far as I know, his last known place of residence was somewhere in California.
