Abe Bowser and Mary Elizabeth Kemp Bowser were married Jan. 1855 in Brown Co., Texas. They moved to San Saba Co., Texas and Abe built a stone grain mill on the Colorado River. It can still be seen between Bend and San Saba on County Rd.416.
They had twelve children, eleven girls and one boy.
All the girls grew up and married except Texas and Ellen. Texas died when she was being helped on a horse, went off the other side and hit the hard ground. Ellen was burned to death. Henry never married.
