MARRIED - Mr. James Burch and Miss Ada Strong [daughter of Ida B. (Peterson) and George Lewis Strong] surprised their friends by being married in Boulder Saturday [September 16, 1916]. From there they enjoyed a short honeymoon in Denver and came back in time to be serenaded by the young people Monday evening. Mrs. Burch has made her home here for some time, and has many friends who gave her a miscellaneous shower Thursday afternoon.

Obituary:Ada A. Clemens
Retired Register Nurse Ada Alameda Clemens, 74, died Sunday evening at her home at 1345 Elder St. She had worked at both Community and Memorial Hospital.Mrs. Clemens was born in Sharpsburg, Iowa, on April 9, 1897. She came to Boulder in 1907 from Iowa, and graduated from the Nurses Training School in Longmont in 1922. She and Boyd T. Clemens were married in Glendale, Calif., in 1925.
She was a member of the North Priscilla Club, N.A.R.C., the North Boulder Club and Central Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mary Alice Godfrey of Boulder; two sisters; Mrs. Velvan Monroe of Nunn, Colo., and Mabel Bunch (Burch) of Longmont; and two grandchildren; Kenneth Godfrey in Boulder, and W.A.C. Pvt. Linda Godfrey in San Antonio, Tex. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. F. Edward Carter of Central Christian Church officiating. Mrs. Clemens will be buried in Mountain View Memorial Park. Friends wishing may contribute to the building fund at Central Christian Church, in her name.
