Mrs. Mary Tyson, 1135 West Third street, died at Mercy hospital at 3:30 a.m. today. Death resulted from pneumonia after an illness of two weeks.
Mrs. Tyson was born In Muskogee, Wis., Aug. 5, 1873. She came to Davenport when 4 years old, residing here since. In 1907 she was married to Leone (sic) Tyson in Rock Island. The widower is the only survivor.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m., Tuesday at the Stapleton chapel. Burial will be made in Fairmount cemetery.
Her mother was Elizabeth Mueller born 1835-1850 in Alsace LORRAINE GER. She was last listed in the Davenport IA 1888 - 1889 phone directory. A note was listed will the directory listed that she may have died Dec 26 1897. Her father was George Adler born 1815-1835 in Germany. He died between the US 1880 and the Iowa 1885 Censuses. She had a brother Louis P born abt 1871 in Wisconsin. The IA Census for 1915 lists him as insane. The 1920 and 1930 US Census lists him living in IOWA STATE HOSPITAL FOR THE INSANE, MT PLEASANT IA as a patient.
She was the first wife of Leon. He married my Great Grand-mother Elizabeth (Eliza) Burtlow Conger Skinner in 1936.
