Victor H. Gall, 77 died Tuesday, May 16, at Fremont Manor Nursing home in Riverton where he was recuperating from surgery. He was born in Omaha, Neb. on Feb. 6, 1912. He was the son of Ernest and Emma Gall. Mr. Gall was an auto mechanic by trade in Nebraska and also in Lander. He owned and operated the Trails Garage in Lander for 16 years until he retired in 1974. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and nature photography. Survivors include his wife, Lillie of Lander; three stepsons, Jessie Holdaway of Wichita, Kan., Stephan Holdaway Sr. of Riverton and John Holdaway of Lander; and one stepdaughter, Marie McDougal of Ponca City, Okla. Also surviving are twelve step-grandchildren and two great step-grandchildren; one brother, Edwin de la Motte of Hazzard, Neb. and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19, 1989 at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of the Henry Mortuary. Rev. Vic Reichenbach of the Riverton Christian Center will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lander. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
