Ernest Alan Blair, age 102 of Viroqua, died Monday, March 7, 2011. He was born on September 13, 1908 in Nebraska to Alan and Elizabeth (Matis) Blair and six weeks later the family moved by covered wagon to Kansas. Five years later they moved by train to Ogilvie, MN where the family farmed.
In 1948 Ernest married Mary Robbins and they moved to Berlin, WI. They moved to Neshkoro, Cazenovia, then Neillsville, WI. In 1962 they moved to Viola where they farmed until 1984 when they retired and moved to Viroqua.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary; one brother, Guian Blair; three sisters: Eunice Blair, Mina Lewis and Lucile Sherman; four step-sons: Eugene, Julian, David and Karl; two step-daughters: Geraldine and Mary.
