Paul, 87, Lima, died at 7:07 p.m., at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was a son to George E. and Mabelle P. (Collins) Rader. On Jun 19, 1948, he married Martha "Jean" Gensler, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are a son, Timothy L. (Janet E.), Columbus; three daughters, Rebecca Carter, Lima, Cynthia K. (John) Bowersock, Wapakoneta, and Pamela S. (Steve) Tribbie, Clearwater, FL; a brother, Richard, Yucolupa, CA; a sister-in-law, Lois Moeller, New Bremen; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are a granddaughter, Amanda Marie Carter Horn; a brother, Everett A. "E.A."; and three sisters, Minnie Hill, Eva Gehring and Beatrice Korb.
He was a 1941 graduate of Lima South High School and remained active in arranging its class reunions. He was a life member of Grace United Methodist Church and recently became a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He worked as a stock room supervisor at several companies in Lima, including Duff Truck Lines and Siferd-Hossellman Co. He will be remembered for his more than 10,000 hours of volunteerism at Lima Memorial Health System and his smiling face as a greeter at The Anderson's. He had been a Boy Scout leader for Troop 57 for more than 20 years. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.
Memorial services are at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel, with Pastors David Harris and John Medaugh, officiating.
