Josephine, 93, of Delta Township, formerly of Gregory, died Tuesday at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. She was the daughter of Horace A. and Mary (Backus) Hanson. Dear sister of Glenn N. (Dorothy) Hanson of Howell, sister-in-law Pat Hanson of Gregory and nephews, Robert (Jane) Hanson of Howell, David (Norma) Hanson of Mason and Jim (Linda) Hanson of Leslie.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Horace.
Josephine had been employed by the State of Michigan. She had been very active in the American Business Women's Association and a former officer.
The service was at MacDonald's Funeral Home, Howell on sataurday 4-2-2011.
