J. M. Blakemore Buried Monday
Funeral Held at Methodist Church
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church here Monday for Joseph Merritt Blakemore, who died Saturday after several months of poor health.
Mr. Blakemore was born July 8, 1866, in Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Virginia Blakemore; three sons, Frank and Earl of Madill; Allen, of Powell; five daughter, Mrs. Ethel Brooks, Ardmore; Mrs. Clara Reid, Madill; Mrs. Joe Weaver, Denison; Mrs. Georgia Parks, Arkansas; Mrs. Gladys Tepfer, Fort Worth; by 42 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Woods of Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Addie Page of Houston, Texas.
The Rev. J. H. Miller was in charge of the memorial service, assisted by Rev. W. N. Denton. Interment was at Madill-Legion cemetery.
