Wife of Ignatz J. "Enos" Berberet, married 25 JUN 1837 in Conewago Catholic Church, McSherrytown (Heidelberg), Adams County, Pennsylvania. The 1860 Census spells her name KATHARINA and the 1870 Census has it spelled KATARINA.
- Married by Father Lechue (Lekeu), Kanawaha Church, Kanawaha (Conewago), Pennsylvania, on Conewago Creek-West.
- Date of marriage: Per "The Berberet Family", family records give 25 June 1837 as date of marriage, but Church records state 26 May 1837.
- Note that in the 1930 US Census for son Enos Bernard Berberet, it is stated that his parents Ignatz and Eva Catherine were born in Alsace.
- The Berberet Story, page 19, states family stories say the Fuchs family arrived in the US about 1831 and settled in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, then later in Pittsburgh. They somehow lost their farmland, and Eva's father died there. Stories also contend Eva was one of nine children, but only five were found (Berberet Story).
