Born c.1735-6, Mrs. Young, nee Mary Thibou, was the wife of Revolutionary War veteran William Young. She died at the age of 75 in January 1811. Her sandstone stele has the high tympanum and more curvilinear profile typical of gravestones dating from the late Federal Period, a design which remained popular throughout the 19th Century. Like most steles of this type, it lacks the "soul effigy" so characteristic of Colonial stones. Mrs. Young's epitaph eulogizes her as
"A tender wife,
A parent dear:
A pious mind,
And friend sincere."
