Death: Jan. 29, 1908

Albert G, just an inital no middle name, was raised near Bona, Missouri at the homestead settled by his grandparents, Mount Aetna and Narcissa Payne Morris. The old Morris Cemetery is on land owned by them.

Albert's father Mount Etna was the youngest child, so Mount's small family lived with his mother Narcissa in her elder years. When Albert was ready for an advanced education, the family moved to the nearby town of Dadeville, Missouri so Albert could attend the Academy there. They bought a farm on the edge of town from Mount's older brother Edmund J. Morris.

Albert was in the first graduating class of the Dadeville Academy, and his decendants still treasure the writing desk that was a graduation gift from his parents. Albert started his career at Cave Spring School as a teacher for one year. He worked for International Harvester Company as a salesman, and then opened a hardware store in the town of Dadeville.

He met his wife Veda Wilson at Dadeville Academy, and they were married December 30, 1896. They lived with their three children next door to his parents, where their children were free to visit their Morris grandparents on a daily basis.

Albert became ill and even had a operation, rare in those days, in Kansas City. He did not recover and died in his home at age 33. It is believed that he had what we would today call colon cancer. So he could be buried close to his widow Veda and young children, Albert's parents donated land from their farm for a cemetery on the edge of Dadeville. The local Masonic Lodge agreed to be the caretakers of the cemetery. Today it is known as the Dadeville Masonic Cemetery. There is still a side gate where Albert's family could easily visit his grave site.

Albert's initials AGM have continued as a family tradition in his son George's family. As of this writing AGM is on its fifth generation.
