(now W.Va.) in 1858. On Oct. 9, 1864 at Union District, Wood County she married George W. Brown, a blacksmith, with whom she would have at least 12 children (five of whom died in infancy. She died of stomach cancer, as had her husband a few months prior. She was survived by her stepson Albert L. (known as Logan) sons, William, Charley, George, Frank, and Jacob, and daughters Hester and Runa Belle (known as "Ronie.")
