Rule Mrs. Lantz Choked to Death On Piece of Meat
BUSHNELL -- McDonough County Coroner Roy Louderman said Monday that Mrs. Fannie Lantz, 65, of 827 E. Twyman St., apparently choked to death on a piece of meat Sunday afternoon in her home.
Louderman, who conducted an inquiry Monday morning, said that death was due to "asphyxation secondary to a foreign body obstructing her trachea."
Mrs. Lantz was born March 30, 1898, in Prairie City. She married James Lantz Dec. 4, 1925, in Peoria. He died in 1948.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Wilt of Bushnell, with whom Mrs. Lantz had been living; a son, Paul Lantz of Bushnell; a brother, Ralph Oatman of Erie, Pa.; and one grandchild of Bushnell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Craycraft Funeral Home, Bushnell. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 tonight. The Rev. Ralph Adamson will officiate. Burial will be in the Bushnell Cemetery.
