Irene Arlene (Androy) Moore Bollinger was born November 5, 1912, to Herman and Sarah (Bollinger) Androy in Moorhead, Iowa. She grew up in the Moorhead area and attended country school. Irene was one of nine children. Irene married Don Moore and the couple had two sons. She worked at area cafés and also cleaned houses. On November 21, 1949, Irene married Fred Bollinger. They lived in Wyoming and Utah. After Fred's retirement, the couple moved to Dunlap in September of 1970. They then moved to Woodbine in September of 1975. Fred died on August 8, 1980.
Irene died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa attaining the age of 92 years, six months, and six days.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; son, DeLloyd; three brothers, Lem Androy, Jim Androy, and Herman Androy; four sisters, Susie Robinson, Anna Schofield, Edith Lee, and Stella Hinkel. She is survived by her son, Gale Moore and his wife Pat of Gretna, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Moore of Woodbine, Iowa; six grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Virgil and her husband Louie Hinkel of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sister-in-law, Audrey Androy of Dunlap, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
