Childress – Mrs. Lillie Loona Moran, 72, died in the Childress county hospital at 9;50 p.m. Tuesday. She was born February 18, 1895 in Hamilton county, Texas and had lived in Childress county for 62 years. Mrs. Moran was a member of the First Baptist church. She is survived by her husband, Fred W. Moran of Childress; three sons, Willie of Tell, Earl and Donald of Lomita, California; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Jones of Lomita and Mrs. Oreta Dyer of Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, Jim Halford of Tatum, New Mexico, Larson Halford of Estelline, and Buster Halford of Childress; and one sister, Mrs. Ella Fitzgerald of Childress; 22 grandchildren and 44 great grand children. Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church conducted by the pastor, Rev. Joe Allen. Burial will be in the Childress cemetery under direction of Newberry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Published October 26, 1967
