Arlie, Texas, May 24 -- Last Friday little Elmer McAdams, the eight-year-old step-son of W.M. Alexander, was bitten by a rattlesnake. The usual remedies were applied. A physician was also summoned, and all was done that medical skill and loving friends counter do to counteract the effect of the dreadful poison and save the precious life of the child, but they only succeeded in prolonging his life until the next day when death came to the relief of the little sufferer, and his spirit took its flight to that land where sorrow never comes and no hidden danger lurks by the pathway of the unsuspecting innocence.
