George was the son of Rev. Elijah Ramsey and Georgianna Maria Jones Patterson. He was married to the former Virginia Buttermore on the 16th of January 1909. George was the Pastor of the Sharon Presbyterian Church and well known author of several histories of Pennsylvania and Native Americans living there.
