WILLIAM PALMORE CHAFFIN
Funeral service for William Palmore Chaffin, 79, 1005 South Fifth, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Adams officiating.
Mr. Chaffin was born April 28, 1894 in Dibble. He died Thursday in Grady Memorial Hospital after being in failing health for the past year.
He married the former Miss Hattie McDaniel on June 16, 1921 at Bailey. He has lived in Chickasha for over 40 years owning and operating a grocery store until 1955.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hattie of the home; one son, Phillip of Chickasha; two brothers, Pat of Louisiana and Wade of Rush Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Loudys Barrett of Chickasha, Mrs. Rene Short and Mrs. Gladys Davis of Marlow; and two grandchildren.
One son, William Pat, preceded him in death in 1940. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
