Services were February 20 at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, for Cornelius (Neal) Trent, age 97, Lizton, who died February 16, 1984 in the Golden Manor Nursing Home, Lebanon. Rev. Garland Kincaid officiated. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem.

A native of Hawkins County, Tennessee, he had lived in Lizton for 75 years. He was a retired farmer. He was born Jan. 24, 1887, a son of John and Martha (Grider) Trent. He married Allie Livesay who preceded.

Survivors include four sons, Fred of Indianapolis, Troy of Florida, Ray of Ohio and Bennie of Brownsburg; three daughters, Maude Sherrard of Florida, Merle Dickerson of Lizton and Ethel Duke of Ohio; sisters, Zana Sample of Tennessee, Sally Isenberg of Tennessee, Muzetta Wilder of Brownsburg and Mattie Lampkin of Tennessee; brothers, Quinni of Tennessee and Guy of Arkansas; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
