He was a sales representative for the Morton Salt Co., and a member of the Westgate Methodist Church, Capital City Lodge F&AM, Scottish Rite and Shrine, and Southern Way OES. Past president of the Manufacturers' Representatives Assoc.
Mr. Yount is survived by his wife, Hazel; son, Daniel H. Yount, Jr.; and one sister, Mrs. Gladys Free of Piqua.
Services Monday 10 a.m. at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W. Broad, with Rev. Albert Slack officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday.
Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
