Born Joseph Conrad Lind in San Francisco, California, he appeared in films throughout the 1930s and 1960s, and had a significant career on television. For feature films, he had a critically acclaimed supporting role as August Zabladowski in "The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T" (1953). His other screen credits include "Outside of Paradise" (1938), "Playmates' (1941), "Winged Victory" (1944), "The Senator was Discreet" (1947) and "Once You Kiss a Stranger" (1969). He also with Dinah Shore was the original singers of the 1950s, Chevrolet commercial jingle "See the USA in Your Chevrolet". For television, he appeared on "Goodyear Playhouse", "Vega$", "The Outer Limits", "The Match Game" and his own program "The Paul Lind Hayes Show".
