Irene Whisler
DONAHUE, Iowa - Services for Irene E. Whisler, 92, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge. Burial will be in Allen's Grove Cemetery, rural Scott County.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. today at Runge Mortuary, Davenport.
Mrs. Whisler died Tuesday at Davenport Lutheran Home.
Irene Oehrlein married Eldie Whisler in 1918 in Davenport. The couple farmed near Donahue until moving to Donahue in 1949. He died in 1980.
She was a member of the church. Her hobbies were crocheting and cooking. She enjoyed her family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Davenport Lutheran Home or the church.
Survivors include daughters, Mildred (Mrs. Leonard) Mueller, Donahue; Marcella (Mrs. Verne) Grau, DeWitt; and Elaine (Mrs. Harold) Matherly, Milan, Ill.; four grandchildren; four great-grand-children; sisters, Marie Griebel, DeWitt; and Carrie Farber, Long Grove; and a brother, Gib Oehrlein, DeWitt.
