William Collier Cooley, 81, of Beaufort, S.C., formerly of Gaithersburg, died Oct. 1.
Born Aug. 22, 1926, in Gaithersburg, he was a son of the late William S. and Isabel Collier Cooley.
He was the husband of Maureen Cooley for 33 years.
Mr. Cooley served in the U.S. Navy and held a master's of business administration from the University of Maryland. He worked for the Central Intelligence Agency.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Suzanne Cooley of King George, Va. and Cheryl C. Steele of Redmond, Wash.
Burial was in the National Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C. A memorial service will be held in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Parkinson's Disease Association, 1250 Hylan Blvd., Suite 4B, Staten Island, NY 10305.
Anderson Funeral Home, Beaufort, S.C. handled arrangements.
