Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Day Mortuary in Bloomington for Stephen Nelson Hamm, 23, of Gosport, who died Monday in an automobile accident on Ind. 46, two miles west of Spencer. Brother Johnie Edwards will officiate and burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Born July 1, 1958, in Bloomington, he was the son of Charles and Marilyn (Bryant) Hamm. He served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps following graduation from Edgewood High School in 1976. A student at Indiana State University, he attended the Ellettsville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Katina; and another sister; his maternal grandmother, Ruth Beaman of Gosport; and several aunts and uncles.
Friends may call at the mortuary 7-9 p.m. today and 2-9 p.m. Wednesday.

For Stephen Hamm, 23
Funeral services for Stephen Nelson Hamm, 23 years old, will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Day Mortuary in Bloomington. Brother Johnie Edwards will officiate.
Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens at Bloomington.
Friends may call from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. today, and from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Day Mortuary.
Stephen Hamm died at 6:45 a.m. Monday, January 25, in a car accident on Highway 46, two miles west of Spencer. He was en route to Terre Haute where he was a student at Indiana State University.
He was born July 1, 1958 at Bloomington, the son of Charles and Marilyn Bryant Hamm.
His home was just across the Owen County line in Monroe County. He was a 1976 graduate of Edgewood High School.
After serving four years with the United States Marine Corps, Stephen returned home and enrolled in Indiana State University.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hamm; his sisters; his maternal grandmother, Ruth Beaman of Gosport, and his aunts and uncles.
