Bernice Evelyn Barnes, 78, Urbana, died July 19 at Carle Hospital Urbana.
Services will be Monday at the Renner-Wikoff Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services in Ebenezer Cemetery in Olney with Rev. Wally Krech presiding. Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church in Urbana or Gideon's International.
Mrs. Barnes was born May 26, 1907 in rural Olney, the daughter of Roy and Grace Reynolds Howe. She married D. Earl Barnes on Feb. 16, 1927, in Calhoun and he survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Clyde O., Champaign; Donald L., Urbana; Norville E., Brockville, Ontario, Canada; Walter R., Lakeland, FL; four daughters, Wanda K. Yonce, Urbana; Sheryl J. Knustson, Amboy; Evelyn I. Goens, Woodland Park, CO; Winona M. Miller, Ventura, CA; on brother, Delbert K Howe, Olney; 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and two granddaughter.
