Alice Maurine Sanders Beck
1927 - 2011

Alice Maurine Sanders Beck, of Alpine, Utah, passed away March 10, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was 83.

She was born in Fairview, Utah, to John Frank and Venna May Christiansen Sanders. She married Max Beck on June 17, 1955, in the Manti Utah Temple. Her greatest love was her family.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint with a deep abiding testimony, she served faithfully in many capacities, served a Mission in Hawaii and was a temple worker for many years.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, crocheting, cooking, camping, family gatherings, and working on humanitarian projects.

She will be greatly missed by her children: Linda Halls and Joy (Gene) Bates of Salt Lake; Clista Pennie, Maxine (Scott) Blackburn, Jeri (Russ) Devitt and Darwin Beck, of Alpine; 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Shirlyn; and great grandson, Max.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday, March 18, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Mountainville 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 165 North 100 East, Alpine. A viewing will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Warenski Funeral Home 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, and at the church 9:30 -10:30 am prior to the service. Interment will be at the Alpine City Cemetery.
