FARMERSVILLE — Jimmie Kent Cummings passed away Tuesday in Farmersville.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Tim James officiating.
Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville.
Mr. Cummings was born Dec. 11, 1941, in Dallas, the son of S.A. and Artis Kent Cummings.
He was a project manager for Concho Construction, and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Cummings of Farmersville; mother; Artis Cummings of Farmersville; children, Scott Cummings and wife Traci of San Antonio, Anna Koenig and husband Mike of Frisco, and Tammy Barr and husband Jason of Wylie; stepchildren, Danielle Wright and husband Kent of Grand Junction, Colo., and Benny Gatlin of Mt. Enterprise, Texas. He is also survived by his siblings, Mike Cummings and wife Debbie of Point, Pat Rutledge and husband Calvin of Irving, Sharon Cummings of Blue Ridge, and Gayle Coomer of Farmersville; and eight grandchildren.
