Services for Ernest Edward (Ernie) Berg, 67, of 1011 Denver, who died Monday May 29, 1972 at his home, will be conducted at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Thomas Blackburn of the Garden City Christian Community Center. Interment will be at the Canyon Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Berg was born February 19, 1905, in Fort Collins, Colorado, a son of John B. and Mary Frederick Berg. He lived in Colorado, Washington and Montana. His father was a shoemaker and owned shops in those states. He was married to Maude Irene Evans on October 19, 1931 in Boulder, Colorado. They were divorced on August 7, 1934 in Ft. Collins. He married Maxine Elizabeth Thorson in Fort Collins on August 16, 1939. They came to Caldwell, Idaho on May 29, 1942 with Maxine's family. He was the electrician for J. R. Simplot Co. for 23 years, the Amalgamated Sugar Co. for a year and a half, and the College of Idaho for five years. He retired last year because of ill health. He was a member of the Electricians' Local No. 291.
His survived by his wife Maxine, a son, Edward E. (Linda) of Calder, Idaho; a daughter Juanita A. Chrz (Bill) of Boise, Idaho; his mother-in-law, Bertha Thorson and three granddaughters, Corinna and Laurie Chrz and Catherine Berg.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister Anna and a daugther Mary.
Pallbearers will be Robert Walters, Paul Walters, Gary Fox, Jim Schimmels, Mike Barrett and Hurshell Benson.
