Roman was the fifth of thirteen children (ten sons & three daughters)
born to William John & Clara (Weller) Braun

On 19 November 1941, Roman married Ann Mary Wroblewski in Badger, MN; he was age 25, she was 24. Ann Mary ("Annie") was the fifth of six children born to John & Stella (Kotta) Wroblewski.

Roman & Ann adopted two children:
-o- Theresa Helen (1959-___)
-o- Mark Roman (1961-___)

Roman died of old age on 20 November 2007 at Hood River Care Center in Hood River, OR at age 91 -- recovering from a broken hip.

From his obituary (Hood River News): "Roman was raised and educated in Minnesota and North Dakota. He and Annie farmed in North Dakota for several years and then moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft for 13 years. In 1961, they moved to Mount Hood, OR, where he owned and operated an orchard. Roman enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. He had a great love for farming, farm animals and farm machinery. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church."
