A graduate of Kent State University, Eleanor was a teacher for over 34 years with the Twinsburg, Norton, Wadsworth, and Chippewa School Districts.
Eleanor was a member of the Doylestown United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the Retired Teachers of Wayne County. She was a past Lioness with the Doylestown Lions Club, and was a charter member of the Doylestown American Legion Post 407 Ladies Auxiliary.
Eleanor was an avid reader and loved to play bridge. Preceded in death by her husband, George E. in 1995, great grandson, Tobey Porr Johnson, one brother, four sisters, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
She is survived by her daughter, Claire (Mike) Ropp of Wilmington, OH; son, Dean (Joanne) Porr of Doylestown; grandchildren, Bradley (Leslie) Ropp, Julie Porr Johnson, Eric (Abby) Porr; great-grandchildren, Drew Johnson, Celia Johnson, Lauren Ropp, Morgan Ropp; sister, Josephine Hartman of Cleveland.
