Duck was the brother of Elizabeth Allen Rand, Mabank, TX; Shirley Allen Davis, Springville, TN; Flossie Allen Wade Howard, Springville, TN; Nelda Allen Ray, Sumner, TX; Johnny Allen, Springville, TN; and Ronnie Allen, Springville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mont and Lucy Allen, Springville, TN. Duck was retired from Four Seasons of Paris, TN. He was a member of Springville Church of Christ and had a heart of gold. He was generous even when he could not afford it. He helped anyone who asked him, even those who took advantage of him and did not deserve it.
Donald was married to Mildred Anderson Allen for many years. A picture of them sitting on the sofa. The only women he ever loved.
He loved to fish, ride four wheelers and drive his truck along country roads. He was diagnosed with lung cancer and doctors estimated he had six months to live. He only lived two short weeks to which his death was unexpected and questioned if his death occurred before it should have. He was only 68. Cancer s a cruel disease. His lungs were literally consumed with cancer. When he coughed, blood poured from his mouth. When he took his last violent cough on September 19, 2010--one of his niece's birthday--at approximately 6:00 p.m., blood and pieces of lung expelled from his mouth. His last few hours of life were violent--he suffered a cruel and painful death. No man deserves to die like this. Duck never had children and was not married. The sadness of it all. Rest in heavenly peace, "Unca Duck" we all love and miss you.

Four years ago you went to be with Daddy Mont and Mama Lucy. Your death was long before doctors predicted and a mystery. "Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord."|
