Mrs. Frank Benham Dies While Attending Meeting In Jackson
---Mrs. Helen L. Benham, 72, Route 3, wife of Frank E. Benham, died unexpectedly Monday evening at 8:30 p.m. while attending a meeting at the First Methodist church in Jackson.
---The deceased was born Sept. 2, 1890 at Six Lakes, Mich., the daughter of Delbert S. and Harriet L. (Finch) Howe and was married June 19, 1912 in Albion township to Frank E. Benham. They resided at the above address in Albion township all of their married life.
---She was a member of the First Methodist church of Homer, the WSCS([sic] the Farm Bureau discussion group, Homer and Albion farmers groups and the Progressive Woman's group.
---When a young woman she taught in the Bouton and King school districts. She was active in church work and served in various capacities.
---Surviving besides her husband are: four sons, Howard V., Ceresco, Maurice F., Homer, George E., Homer, Frank H. Olney, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Claude (Louise) Bartelle, Jonesville, Mrs. Elwin (Ruth) Pulcipher, Battle Creek; Mrs. Eugene (Mary) Bush, Warren; 24 grandchildren; two brothers, James F. Howe, Williamsburg, Mich., Robert F. How[sic], Homer; one sister, Mrs. A. W. (Ruth) Wilkenson of Chelsea. Three sisters preceded her in death.
