Sue H. Barton, 92, of Independence, MO, passed away March 11, 2011. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Burial at Floral Hills. Visitation at 1 p.m. After 43 years of teaching, Sue retired from the KCMO School District. She was preceded in death by husband, Sanford Barton; parents, Cecil and Frances Hendren; brothers, Elwood, Howard and Walter Hendren. Survivors include daughter, Karen (David) Duncan; grandchildren Shellie (Alan) Jones; Gregory (Shari) Duncan; great grandchildren: Kodi Jones, Laura and Kellie Duncan; siblings: Edwin and Vencil (Lois) Hendren, Jean (Bill) Risley, Mary (Richard) Salisbury, Marjorie (Mike) Kietlinski, sister-in-law, Bernadine Hendren.
