Beallsville, Jan 18 - Mrs. Emma e. Deems, one of the best known residents of this place and widow of George R. Deems, died at her home here Friday, following a short attack of acute indigestion.
Mrs. Deems was born December 12, 1846, and had spent practically her entire life in this section. She was a member of the Beallsville Methodist Episcopal Church for the past 60 years and had always been one of the very active members. Monday afternoon she attended a birthday party given at one of her neighbor's and after returning home was afflicted with acute indigestion. Her death being as it wa very sudden, is a shock to the entire neighborhood.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Sarah Scott of Centerville.
The funeral services will be held in the Beallsville Methodist Episcopal Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev. E. H. Miller, pastor of the church. The interment will be in the Beallsville cemetery.,
