PHOEBE DOUGLAS KING ALDRED, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, after a long illness. Graveside services will conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at Spring Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Robert L. Thomas. She was the daughter of the late Warren T. and Lucia F. King. She attended Longwood College and Marshall University. She is survived by two daughters, Amy A. O'Leary of Charlottesville, Va., and Mary Aldred Crouch of Milton; one sister, Mary Rogers Thomas of Atlanta, Ga., and two grandchildren, James and Andrew O'Leary. The family gratefully acknowledges the compassionate care provided by Hospice of Huntington, Dr. Dilip Nair, Barbara, Jenny, Kathy, Robin, Stacey, Sue and Therisa. Visiting hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at Klingel Carpenter Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Huntington, The American Diabetes Association or the Huntington City Mission.
