Hannah was the daughter of Benjamin Masters and his 3rd wife Catherine Stutts. She was married (just shy of her 15th birthday) to Parren Thomas Pierce on 20 Feb 1834 at Guernsey Co., Ohio. They were parents of
Thomas Pierce
; Joseph, Emily, John, and Caleb Pierce. Hannah was only 27 years, 7 days of age at death. After her death, their son John became a Sergeant with the Ohio 25th Infantry, and was killed at the Battle of Gettysburg. Their son Caleb also served the Union in the Civil War, was wounded at the Battle of Shiloh, was captured at the Battle of Marks Mills in Arkansas, and survived imprisonment at Camp Ford in Tyler, TX.
