JOHN WILLIAM “BUD” ALESHIRE Dies at 76
John William “Bud” Aleshire, 76, passed away in Staunton, Va., on Sunday, July 7th at 5:00 p.m. after being in failing health for several years.
Mr. Aleshire was a farmer and logger prior to his death.
He was born on May 8, 1887 at Stanley and was the son of the late Mac and Christina Mauman Aleshire.
He was united in marriage with the former Miss Ida B. Chrisman, who preceded him in death in 1938.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn V. Ramey, of Stanley; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Maye, of Shenandoah and one brother, Carthur Aleshire, of Luray.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 10th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Bradley Funeral Home with the Rev. B.W. Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Graves Chapel Cemetery.
