Passed away in Picture Butte on Saturday, June 3, 1995, following a lengthy illness, MR. PAUL ROSARIO ALVAU, at t he age of 84 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Virginia Alvau, of Lethbridge.
Prayers will be held at 7:00 P.M., this evening, Tuesday, June 6, 1995 at Martin Bros. Memorial Chapel, 703 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday. June 7, 1995 in St. Basil's Roman Catholic Church, 604 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge with Father Inno Gamboling Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery,

ALVAU
Passed away in Picture Butte on Saturday. June 3. 1995, following a lengthy illness, MR. PAUL ROSARIO ALVAU, at t he age of 84 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Virginia Alvau, of Lethbridge.
Born, raised and educated in Italy, the late Mr. Alvau was married to Virginia Lavarata on December 31. 1936. Together , with their children, they came to Canada and to Lethbridge, arriving on Christmas Eve, 1948. Paul worked and has continued to reside in Lethbridge until his passing. He was a founding member of the Italian Canadian Club in Lethbridge and also a member of the Associazlone Nazionale Combattenti E Reduci Sezione Di Lethbridge. Paul enjoyed many hours working in his garden and the traditional Italian custom of wine making.
Besides his loving wife, Virginia, Paul is survived by two daughters: Rose (Nello) Gioia of Picture Butte; and Maria ( George) Siegl of Lethbridge; one son, Nick (PauTette) Alvau of Lethbridge ; six grandchildren: and nine great grandchildren. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Rosarla Alvau;
and by an infant son, Anthony.
