Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Humbert officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Melvin Hill, Ronald Hill, Everett Cochran, Roger Holt, Wayne Holt, Ronnie McBride, James Mobbs and David McBride. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Citizens Center in Union City.
The family requests that memorials be made to Central Union (United Methodist) Church at Rives.
He was born May 25, 1925, in Obion County, son of the late Alford Franklin and Ilar (Dodson) Wilson. He married the former Mary Taylor Jan. 29 1944. She survives. He was a retired farmer and dairyman and was an avid duck hunter. He was a United Methodist and was a member of Central Union Church. Survivors also include his son, Thomas Wayne Wilson of Arlington; his sister-in-law, Mary Wilson of Union City; his great niece, Emily Ann Taylor of Rives; his great nephew, Seth Hunter Taylor of Rives; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jack Wilson, Cliff Wilson, Oscar Wilson and Marshall Wilson; and his sister, Adell Pate.
