Artist. He studied at the Royal Academy Schools. He was well versed with his use of artistic media, painting with oil and watercolor in portraiture, landscapes and florals. He is also known for his sculptures. He attended Dulwich College, and studied art at Clapham School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools. He exhibited at the Paris Salon and the Royal Academy. He specialized in representational art, and traveled to Spain, Berlin, Florence, and Brussels among other areas pertinent to his artwork. Around 1906 he co-founded the East Kent Art Society. Some of his artwork included sketches of prisoners of war with whom he was able to converse as an interpreter for the Secret Service in Gibraltar and Censor's War Office during World War II. His works command a high price at auction.
